How to Successfully Collect Donations When Delivering Pamphlets
Don’t just donate why not take an active role in helping a family and take on the OBG challenge.
Why not hand out pamphlets – take the time to share the story of the family you’ve selected. Build rapport with shop owners and business owners by briefly talking about the beneficiary. After the conversation, ask if you can leave some pamphlets at their counter, share them with their staff, or stick one on their window.
You can also ask them to point out the pamphlet to their next customer and encourage them to donate. By building connections, remembering their names, and showing professionalism, you can increase the likelihood of receiving donations.

Download stickers and place them on bus stops, traffic lights, your car, lamp posts, and on your donation bucket when you’re out collecting donations.
Please feel free to send in your pictures through our website to show us the impact you are making for one of the OBG families in your community and how you are contributing by not only donating but sharing the story and encouraging those around you to donate.
Gaza Files

Eman Alhaj Ali
My story
Eman Alhaj Ali is a courageous 23-year-old writer from Gaza who has already endured the horror of six wars. Despite unimaginable challenges, she earned a degree in English Literature and Translation, an incredible achievement that shows her strength of character and determination. But then the genocide. It took everything: her home, her university, her sense of stability.
Eman and her family, her parents and four younger siblings, were left struggling to survive without access to even the most basic necessities, constantly living in fear for their lives. With Gaza’s schools and infrastructure in ruins, continuing her education was no longer possible. So Eman made the difficult decision to seek safety in Ireland. Hopefully there, she’ll find peace, but at a painful cost. She had to leave her family behind.
Now, she’s safe, but her heart remains in Gaza, with the people she loves most. Every day is filled with worry. She wonders if her family has food, if they’re cold, if they’re even alive. Their voices echo in her dreams. Their faces are never far from her thoughts. No daughter should be torn from her parents. No sister should lie awake in fear for her siblings’ lives. This campaign is about more than just survival; it’s about bringing a family back together.
Eman’s dream is to rescue her family from danger, reunite with them in Ireland, and build a new life where her brothers and sisters can grow up safe, educated, and free. Your support, no matter the amount, can help turn that dream into reality.
Please scan the barcode or visit her GoFundMe link to help. Thank you for your kindness. May you be blessed for your compassion.

Khalid & Sondos
My story
Khalid, like 2 million other Gazans, has seen his life shattered by a war that’s lasted nearly six months.
Before the conflict, Khalid enjoyed a happy life with his wife Sondos and their two sons in a beachfront house in Gaza City. He also owned an accounting firm. Tragically, their home was destroyed in an airstrike, just months after they finished paying it off. With no insurance in Gaza, they’re now refugees in southern Gaza, living in a crowded, abandoned nursery with extended family.
Khalid’s business was also destroyed, leaving them without a home, job, or income. They lack the savings to leave Gaza or rebuild their life.
We’re launching this campaign to help Khalid and his family begin rebuilding or raise funds to evacuate to Egypt.

Whadi Qanoo
My story
Whadi Yasser Qanoo is an 18-year-old student who dreams of growing into a successful young man. Like others his age, he has hopes and ambitions, but his life drastically changed with the outbreak of war. Since the age of seven, Whadi has also been battling alopecia, which has required him to be in and out of hospitals, searching for a treatment. This struggle has deeply affected his confidence, leading to bouts of depression. His treatments are costly, and without regular donations, he often has to skip his medications, which worsens his condition. Reflecting on his hopes, he shared, “I was trying to be a successful young man. I want to be happy like others, graduate from high school, and make my mother proud.” Whadi once led a joyful life surrounded by friends, many of whom have tragically lost their lives to the war. The ongoing conflict in Palestine has severely hindered his dreams. Whadi’s deepest wish is to live in a safe environment, away from war, where he can continue his education and receive consistent treatment for his condition. Currently, Whadi lives in extremely difficult conditions, lacking basic necessities and relying on donations to get by. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in supporting Whadi and his family through this challenging time. Thank you.

Ramadan Hamed
My story
Ramadan Hamed, 24, lost his home in West Khan Younis when it was destroyed in a bombing, leaving his entire family displaced. Their neighborhood has been heavily damaged, and they have nowhere safe to go. He lived with his parents, siblings, and sister, and worked as a postman—the main provider for his family. He loved his job and the connection it gave him to his community. But the war has turned his life upside down. His sister’s husband was also killed, adding to their emotional and financial struggles. Ramadan and his family have been forced to flee five times, constantly living in fear as they try to survive bombings and shelling. They remain in Gaza, unable to leave due to closed borders and lack of aid. Food and basic supplies are running out, and their future is uncertain. Now unemployed and without income, they rely on donations to meet their basic needs like food, water, and shelter. Any support, no matter how small, can help them get through this crisis. Thank you, and may God bless you.

Dr. Alaa
My story
Dr. Alaa and his son Jhad are trapped in the heart of Gaza’s war, facing daily danger and hardship. After losing his wife and job as a radiologist, Dr. Alaa opened his modest shelter to care for nine orphaned children. Though his own son suffers from hunger, he continues to risk everything to provide for others. With famine worsening and prices soaring—even basic items like nappies costing up to £100—survival has become nearly impossible. Dr. Alaa now relies fully on donations to care for these children. You can help by watching his story and donating whatever you can—£2, £4, or £5—to provide food, blankets, and hope. Every contribution matters. Let’s come together and show Dr. Alaa he’s not alone.
